Evaluating Your Responses
With the experience you have gained by working the other self-assessment exercises in this book, you are better prepared to confront the serious stresses uncovered by this exercise. It takes courage and good communication skills to remedy infidelity, drug abuse, financial problems, and other personal inadequacies. Try to remember that you and your partner are human beings, both doing the best you know how to do, given your level of knowledge and experience at the time. Now however, after reading this chapter, you have more knowledge that before, and it is time to build a more sophisticated power plan than you have ever had.
If you have uncovered only one of the problems alluded to in this exercise, it may take a long time and a lot of work to correct it, but get started. Cleaning up old business paves the way to implementing a more healthy lifestyle in the future. You cannot build a life on shaky ground. Once you have reordered your life by cleaning up mistakes, begin attending to the many stresses that plague the entrepreneurial couple life, and have a plan to defuse stress on a daily basis.
